Hi, this is Claudio, CEO of Bliu Bliu.
I have been thinking a lot about this and today I feel the need of sharing with you something very important.
Our startup has been in business for 3 years now and for too long Bliu Bliu has been on the verge of bankruptcy.
WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT MORE THAN EVER
Teaching languages online is not a good business, so from today we officially PIVOT and we start teaching something more profitable:
“how to write with your left hand”.
Did you know that 200million people in the world are currently learning how to write with their left hand?
Did you know that a “how-to-use-your-left-hand” seminar costs more than 200 euro?
THE LEFT HAND PROBLEM
Are you right handed or left handed?
When I was a kid I was writing with both hands: my left hand and my right hand. Unfortunately, at school teachers “corrected” me, because apparently writing with the left wasn’t the right thing to do. I could have grown up bilingual, no, bi-handed, but no. I can only write with my right hand.
Since childhood I have been trying to re-learn how to write with my left hand but I haven’t got very far.
Do you know why it’s so difficult to learn how to write with your left hand?
IMAGINE WE BUILD A BUSINESS AROUND WRITING WITH THE LEFT HAND
Now, imagine we would build a business around “writing with the left hand”. There would be schools in every country, professional teachers, software, iPhone apps, seminars, workshops. Some of the teachers would be native left-handed. Some would have learned it during the years, with hard work, till they got fluent…
LEFT HANDED IN 30 DAYS :)
Bliu Bliu will run the first seminar this month: how to write with your left hand in 30 days.
THE TRUTH IS…
It is so damn hard to learn how to write with our left hand because we know how to use our right hand.
It’s that simple.
When you try to learn how to use the left, the right hand is there, very close. As soon as the learning experience becomes a bit painful, as soon as you stumble, the pen goes to the right hand! Pain is over. Learning is over.
There is ONLY ONE sure way to learn how to write with your left hand: break your right hand!
Now please, don’t break your right hand. Don’t do it. But think, you probably know a friend that broke his arm, hand, and learned how to write with the left in just 2 weeks
Everybody, even adults, we can all learn how to write with the left hand – when we CAN’T use the right one. It becomes a necessity. Full immersion
WHAT ABOUT LANGUAGES
Here is the funny thing: with learning languages we have the same problem.
Right Hand = Dominant = English (any language you are fluent or native)
Left Hand = Weak = Spanish (any language you want to learn)
You decide that you want to learn how-to-write-with-your-left-hand (same as learning a language). You buy all the books, go to classes, workshops, hours with tutors.
You study a lot, practice a lot, but in your normal life you switch back to your right hand (your native/fluent language), just because it feels good.
No matter how much you study, if you switch to the right hand (English) then learning how to write with your left (learning Spanish) will take ages.
30 Days Challenges are powerful, they are a powerful way to learn new skills. You can alter the environment by making few changes in your routine, so that you can improve your skills considerably. You don’t have to break your right hand to learn how yo use your left!
DO YOU WANT TO LEARN A LANGUAGE?
You need to create a safe environment where you can inject a bit of Spanish in your everyday life. Don’t just study Spanish, start using Spanish. Start using it to listen to a song that you like, to read a funny joke, to follow the daily news, to read your friends’ status updates, to write messages to your lover, to add a comment under a picture, to share with your friends what you are doing,
You can study all your life and you will never be ready. You know why? Because you are already ready. Today. Now.
Stop studying and start using the language now:
– read a blog post in that language
– find a song on YouTube
