I would like to share something with you. It seems that it’s not professional to write blog posts full of english grammar mistakes.
I understand that but guess what: english is not my first language. It’s actually my third one. I speak italian, very very good italian. So good that I beat most of my friends on RUZZLE :)
I studied french in school for 8 years and english only for couple of years. I just managed to learn english by myself watching FRIENDS, the SIT COM with Joey, Chandler, Ross, Monica, Rachel and Phoebe.

I can’t write in english correctly. I can tell you more: writing english grammatically correctly, or even speaking it the right way, it’s not my goal, it has never been. I want to improve my english, day after day. But I am not studying the grammar. I live in Lithuania and I need enough english to communicate with friends, to express my self and to travel in any place where they speak english. I can understand british english and american, even when they speak fast.

Lithuanians might think that I speak very good english. Americans probably think that my english sucks.

But you know what? English for me it’s about being able to communicate, to find new friends, to find a job, to write a blog post that everybody on this planet can understand. And I am not sure if I am supposed to say “in this planet” or “on this planet” but guess what: I don’t really care. I would love to learn the correct form but it doesn’t bother me if I am sure you will get my point.

Then you might judge me because I don’t know the grammar and this is not professional but if you got my point, this is enough for me.

Are you learning a second language? Why? Leave a comment if you want to share your story
